About the role
Nurse consultations and patient admissions and discharges.
Candor Vets is working with an established veterinary practice in Farncombe to find a Senior Registered Veterinary Nurse.
What you will be doing
- Anaesthesia monitoring and surgical nursing.
- In-patient care and post-operative recovery.
- Training and supervision of animal nursing assistants and student veterinary nurses.
- Maintaining health, safety and practice standards.
Working pattern
- Full-time, permanent role: average 40 hours per week, typically 08:30-19:00 across four days.
- Weekend rota of 1 in 4, with 8-hour shifts at a hospital site.
- 1-2 bank holidays a year at the hospital, with time off in lieu.
Team and support
- Close-knit team, with support from a nearby hospital for more complex cases.
- Access to CPD and support for further qualifications.
Practice and facilities
- First-opinion practice carrying out consults and routine operations, with in-house blood testing, ultrasound and x-ray.
Development
- CPD allowance and support for professional qualifications.
