About the role
Provide medical and surgical first-opinion care for small animals.
Candor Vets is working with an established veterinary practice in Windermere to find a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon.
What you will be doing
- Work a mixed caseload of medical and surgical cases, with the chance to develop a clinical interest.
- Take part in morning rounds every day and a weekly in-house CPD meeting.
- Shared out-of-hours rota, typically 1 in 6, supported by the nursing team.
Working pattern
- Full-time or part-time.
Practice and facilities
- RCVS-accredited, well-equipped practice with an operating theatre, dental x-ray, ultrasound and an in-house laboratory.
- An animal rehabilitation centre with an underwater treadmill, offering physiotherapy, massage and acupuncture.
- On-site parking.
Team and support
Requirements
- Supported by experienced clinicians, certificate holders and a skilled nursing and administrative team.
- Regular internal CPD, morning rounds and annual staff meetings.
- This position is not suitable for new graduates.
