Lead Veterinary Nurse – Telford, Shropshire

Up to £35,875 DOE • Leadership • 4-Day Week, No Weekends

A well-equipped, modern veterinary clinic in Telford is looking for a Lead RVN to join the team. This role is ideally suited to an experienced leader with a passion for both clinical work and leadership.

This is a fantastic opportunity to put your skills and experience into action, playing a key role in growing the clinic's client base and developing the clinical team. You will support both vets and nurses to deliver the highest standard of affordable veterinary care.

As Lead Nurse you will have shared responsibility for the clinic's clinical and financial performance and will line manage a team of 2 RVNs and 2 SVNs.

The clinic is a well-equipped, modern facility featuring one theatre, four consult rooms, a dedicated diagnostic room, and a dental suite.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out all aspects of nursing to a high standard
• Actively encourage staff development, mentoring and best practice
• Carry out 1-2-1 meetings with staff members
• Act as a clinical coach, or develop this skillset with support
• Manage the rota, or develop this skillset
• Oversee clinic compliance including Health and Safety and RCVS Practice Standards scheme criteria
• Oversee stock management within the clinic
• Carry out regular staff meetings
• Demonstrate commercial awareness and a drive to grow caseload

Working Hours

• 40 hours per week over 4 days
• Monday to Friday, no weekends
