This is a full-time Veterinary Surgeon role in Atherstone, Warwickshire, offering a four-day working week and no out-of-hours duties. The practice provides a varied caseload within a long-standing and supportive team environment.
The successful candidate will be involved in a predominantly small animal caseload, focusing on cats and dogs, with occasional small furries and poultry. The role includes both routine work and a broad range of interesting cases, supported by in-house ophthalmology referral services and certificate-holding colleagues. The working pattern is structured over four days with no out-of-hours commitment.
This is a well-established, independently owned two-site practice in Atherstone. The team is stable, with many members having been with the practice for over two decades, fostering a culture of genuine collaboration and shared decision-making through regular veterinary meetings. The clinical facilities are well-equipped to support high-quality veterinary medicine, including digital radiography, ultrasound at both sites, endoscopy, electrocautery, cryotherapy, ophthalmic loupes, slit lamp, tonometers, and dedicated dental and orthopaedic equipment. The practice actively encourages professional growth, with a Certificate Holder in Ophthalmology already on staff and other vets pursuing certificates in Surgery, ECC, and Acupuncture.
