Clinical Director (Veterinary Surgeon)

This is an opportunity for a Clinical Director to join a well-regarded, independently minded veterinary practice in Callington, Cornwall. The role offers genuine leadership with significant influence over clinical standards and practice development, alongside a favourable 4.5-day working week and no out-of-hours duties.

The Role

As Clinical Director, you will lead a team of seven veterinary surgeons, supported by skilled nurses and a dedicated support team. Your responsibilities include working up medical and surgical cases, utilising advanced diagnostic tools such as dental radiography, in-house imaging for cardiac and abdominal scans, and collaborating with visiting orthopaedic specialists. This position involves shaping the clinical governance framework and mentoring colleagues, ensuring high standards of patient care.

The Practice

The practice is an established, independently owned facility in Callington, Cornwall, known for its commitment to proper clinical standards. It benefits from a dedicated night nurse service for in-patients, meaning veterinary surgeons are only on-call for specific cases and have no routine out-of-hours work.
