About the role
Provide nursing care across ward, theatre and consult areas.
Candor Vets is working with an established veterinary practice in Wimbledon to find a Registered Veterinary Nurse.
What you will be doing
- Assist veterinary surgeons in theatre and with inpatient procedures and examinations.
- Advise clients on post-operative care and ensure correct medications and discharge instructions are provided.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and follow shift guidance notes.
Practice and facilities
- 24-hour first-opinion hospital supporting internal referral work from nearby practices.
- Specialist input available including orthopaedic and soft-tissue surgery, dermatology and physiotherapy support.
- The hospital offers laparoscopic spays and maintains theatre and sterilisation procedures.
Working pattern
- Full-time role with varied duties spanning ward, theatre and consult work.
- 1:4 weekend rotation with time off in lieu.
- 1-2 bank holidays worked per year.
- No on-call requirements.
Team and support
- Join a team of experienced veterinary surgeons, registered nurses and trainee nurses, with on-site clinical management support.
Location
- Based in Wimbledon, with rail links into central London.
