About the role
Provide evidence-based clinical care across routine surgery, dentistry and emergency cases.
Candor Vets is working with an established veterinary practice in Wanstead to find a Veterinary Surgeon.
What you will be doing
- Perform routine surgical procedures (including bitch spays and dentals) within personal competence.
- Manage emergency and critical cases and participate in diagnostic imaging and case investigation.
- Maintain clinical records and prescribe and dispense medications in line with current legislation and RCVS guidance.
Working pattern
- Full-time role, average 40 hours per week on a six-week rotational rota.
- Rotas include duties across consulting, surgery, ward and emergency departments.
Practice and facilities
- Hospital providing first-opinion, emergency and critical-care services with on-site advanced diagnostic imaging and an in-house laboratory.
- Access to multidisciplinary clinical input, including surgical and medical colleagues.
Team and support
- Large collaborative clinical team with veterinary surgeons, veterinary nurses and client-facing staff.
- Established senior clinical and managerial structure providing leadership and support.
Development
- Opportunities to apply or develop skills in diagnostic imaging and emergency and critical care, with structured CPD support.
