About the role
Work across a varied first-opinion small-animal caseload covering consultations, clinical investigations, inpatient care, medicine and surgery.
Candor Vets is working with an established veterinary practice in Reading, Berkshire to find a Veterinary Surgeon.
What you will be doing
- Perform routine and non-routine soft-tissue surgery and assist with orthopaedic procedures where appropriate.
- Use diagnostic imaging and ultrasound as part of case workups and ongoing case management.
Practice and facilities
- Facilities include digital radiography and diagnostic ultrasound plus inpatient care and equipment for a range of surgical procedures.
- The practice undertakes both routine procedures and more advanced soft-tissue and orthopaedic work, including laparoscopic procedures and dentistry.
Team and support
- Join a small clinical team that includes multiple veterinary surgeons and registered veterinary nurses supported by additional care staff.
- Work alongside nursing staff for inpatient care and postoperative management.
Working pattern
- Contracted week of 40 hours worked over four days.
- Practice opening hours are Monday–Friday 08:30–19:00 and Saturday 09:00–12:00.
- There is potential to work across multiple local sites within the group, dependent on the candidate's interests and service needs.
