About the role
Lead the clinic clinically and operationally with responsibility for clinical standards, financial performance and people management.
Candor Vets is working with an established veterinary practice in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire to find a Clinical Director.
What you will be doing
- Spend approximately 80% of time on clinical work while maintaining oversight of business objectives and P&L drivers.
- Direct local clinic strategy including HR, recruitment, health & safety, marketing and client care; support membership and client acquisition objectives.
- Oversee clinical governance, audits and CPD; identify and address clinical performance issues.
- Line-manage the Practice Manager, Head Nurse and veterinary team with regular 1:1s and documented team meetings.
Team and support
- Supported and guided by the wider organisation's leadership and management teams.
- Responsibility for developing the clinical team, education and quality‑improvement activity.

Development and wellbeing
- Lead a newly built, purpose‑built clinic and help shape standards and workflows from the outset.
- Deliver and direct CPD, clinical audits and quality improvement.
- Promote wellbeing and an inclusive culture, identifying concerns early and ensuring appropriate support is available.
