About the role
Manage consultations and routine first-opinion cases.
Candor Vets is working with an established veterinary practice in Boldon, Tyne and Wear to find an experienced Veterinary Surgeon.
What you will be doing
- Undertake routine surgical and dental procedures with opportunities to develop clinical and surgical skills.
- Work with the nursing team to ensure high standards of patient care and client communication.
Practice and facilities
- Modern, purpose-built clinical environment with multiple consult rooms and theatres, dental and radiography facilities and an in-house laboratory.
- Access to diagnostic imaging and surgical support to broaden clinical experience.
Working pattern
- Full-time or part-time options; full-time is typically a four-day week (37.5 hours).
- Usual working hours are between 08:30 and 19:00.
- 1 in 4 Saturdays (09:00–15:00).
Team and support
- Supported by an experienced clinical team and registered veterinary nurses, with structured training and mentorship.
Development
- Dedicated CPD allowance and ongoing training support, plus professional membership fees paid.
Location
- Conveniently placed between Newcastle and Sunderland with good road and Metro links, close to coastal and countryside amenities.
