About the role
Deliver preventive care and medical treatment for routine and emergency cases in a first‑opinion setting.
Candor Vets is working with an established veterinary practice in Rotherham, South Yorkshire to find a Veterinary Surgeon on a permanent, full-time contract.
What you will be doing
- Perform surgical and dental procedures appropriate to general practice caseloads.
- Communicate clinical findings and treatment plans clearly with clients and colleagues.
- Support and mentor less experienced veterinary staff and contribute to clinical governance and standards, with opportunities for increased clinical leadership.
Practice and facilities
- The practice is purpose-built with modern consulting, theatre and diagnostic facilities suitable for a broad general practice caseload.
- Access to imaging and diagnostic equipment to support clinical decision-making.
Team and support
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary clinical and nursing team, with staff pursuing postgraduate qualifications.
- Structured internal leadership training and opportunities for mentorship.
Hours and rota
- Weekend duty rota: one weekend in four.
