About the role
Deliver preventive care, diagnose and treat sick and injured pets.
Candor Vets is working with an established veterinary practice in Barnsley, South Yorkshire to find a Veterinary Surgeon.
What you will be doing
- Undertake routine and more advanced surgical procedures in line with the surgeon’s experience and interests.
- Communicate clinical findings and options clearly to clients and to the wider team.
Clinical work
- Caseload comprises companion animal work with a regular flow of surgical and medical cases.
- Opportunity to develop surgical skills and clinical interests within the team.
Hours and rota
- Contracted hours: 39 hours per week.
- Two late shifts per week and a 1 in 4 weekend rota.
Team and support
- Work alongside registered veterinary nurses and other clinical and reception colleagues.
- Regular opportunities for peer support and student training within the team.
Practice and facilities
- The practice operates from a purpose-built surgery with modern equipment and facilities suitable for routine and advanced first-opinion work.
- Emphasis on ongoing CPD and internal training programmes.
