About the role
Provide clinical leadership while maintaining a high clinical caseload (approximately 80% clinical practice).
Candor Vets is working with an established veterinary practice in Putney, London to find a Clinical Director.
What you will be doing
Leadership and management
- Lead clinical governance, clinical audit and quality-improvement work.
- Oversee local business performance, including P&L awareness, KPIs and membership activity.
- Line-manage the veterinary team, Head Nurse and Practice Manager with regular 1:1s and performance reviews.
- Promote team wellbeing, inclusivity and psychological safety, and support use of mental-health resources.
- Ensure clear cascade of information and documented team meetings.
Practice and facilities
- Work in a two-theatre first-opinion practice with in-house imaging and dental facilities; advanced imaging is available or being added.
- Maintain compliance with relevant regulatory standards and Health & Safety requirements.
Development
- Direct and support CPD and education within the team using an evidence-based approach.
- Opportunity to develop local clinical services and contribute to wider commercial and operational strategy.
