About the role
Provide clinical leadership and spend approximately 80% of time on clinical work.
Candor Vets is working with an established veterinary practice in Ruislip, Greater London to find a Veterinary Surgeon.
What you will be doing
- Maintain and promote high standards of clinical care through governance, audits and case review.
- Lead local clinic strategy with responsibility for clinical, financial and people performance.
Clinical work
Business and leadership
- Carry a varied first-opinion caseload and support evidence-based practice.
- Direct and organise CPD and clinical education for the team.
- Identify and implement quality-improvement initiatives and new clinical opportunities.
- Promote membership and client acquisition activity and work to local performance KPIs.
- Contribute to budget planning and the clinic P&L; work within allocated budgets.
- Oversee health & safety, client experience, complaints handling and local marketing activity.
Team and support
- Line-manage and develop the Practice Manager, Head Nurse and the veterinary team.
- Hold regular one-to-one meetings and documented team meetings; support staff development.
- Foster a respectful, inclusive workplace and early identification of wellbeing issues.
Practice and facilities
- Join a purpose-built, newly opened clinic and help to shape the team and services as the site develops.
