About the role
Act as a founding Veterinary Surgeon from opening day to help establish clinical services and workflows.
Candor Vets is working with an established veterinary practice in Ruislip, Greater London to find a Veterinary Surgeon.
What you will be doing
- Deliver high-quality patient care across consultations, routine surgery and case management.
- Work alongside the Clinical Director and nursing team to provide efficient, evidence-based care.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement and patient-safety reporting.
Clinical work
- Manage first-opinion small animal cases, applying strong clinical judgement and an evidence-based approach.
- Obtain informed consent, provide clear treatment plans and communicate clinical results to clients.
- Maintain clinical standards in line with RCVS requirements.
Team and support
- Contribute to a collaborative clinical environment through case discussion and mentoring.
- Engage with formal appraisals and ongoing professional development conversations.
- Support practice-wide protocols and respond to clinical elements of complaints as required.
Development
- Take responsibility for personal CPD and share learning with the wider team.
- Opportunities to contribute to practice development and shape clinical processes in a new clinic.
Location
- Based in Ruislip, Greater London; this is a founding role at a newly opening first-opinion small animal clinic.
