About the role
Participate in nurse consultations as required, including screening and routine nursing appointments.
Candor Vets is working with an established veterinary practice in West Hampstead, London to find a Registered Veterinary Nurse.
Clinical work
- Monitor general anaesthesia and maintain accurate anaesthetic records.
- Prepare patients for, assist during and recover patients from surgical and non-invasive procedures.
- Perform clinical tasks such as auscultation, sample collection, medication administration and comprehensive record keeping.
Working pattern
Requirements
- Participate in the nurse consult rota as necessary.
- Assist with maintaining clinical stock levels and cleaning/disinfecting clinical areas to required standards.
- Demonstrable experience as a veterinary nurse and experience with nurse consulting.
- Experience monitoring general anaesthesia and understanding of surgical etiquette and quarantining procedures.
- Veterinary Nursing degree or equivalent and experience of practice management systems.
- Good communication skills, initiative and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
